About Me

I am a graduate student in Philosophy at the University of Utah working on my dissertation under the supervision of James Tabery. My areas of interest include the History and Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Race, and Bioethics.
My dissertation project investigates the history of the intersection of race and pharmacogenetics and geneticists' perspectives on racial health disparities. Other recent research projects involve expert perspectives on genetic causation and the role of inductive risk in genetic explanations.
Before coming to Utah, I earned my MFA at the University of Arkansas in Poetry and before Arkansas, I earned my BA in Philosophy and German at Wellesley College.
My free time is spent with my partner and my two cats. I enjoy cooking South Indian food, hiking and fishing, reading feminist science fiction, and doing needlework.
