My goal as a teacher is to try to meet my students where they are while challenging them, to communicate difficult material effectively, and to create an accepting and tolerant classroom community. My approach earned me a departmental nomination for the University of Utah’s Ramona W. Cannon Award for Excellence in Graduate Teaching for which I was awarded in the Spring of 2024. While my teaching is a personal point of pride to me and has been recognized by my community, my approach is still malleable, informed by empirical results in pedagogy and community needs. Below are syllabi I've used in select courses taught at the University of Utah. Other syllabi (for AI Ethics and Philosophy of Race) available upon request. |
